Split traffic between two variants, then see what works
Split traffic between two variants and see which one keeps more visitors around. No separate A/B testing tool needed — it's built right into GeoSwap.
Experiments are available on Geo Redirects, Geo Links, Geo Content, Geo Bars, and Geo Popups. Test different destinations, messages, and offers for different regions, then let GeoSwap's own bounce, pages-per-session, and time-on-page numbers tell you which variant wins — not just how the clicks split.
Set up a rule in any supported product (Geo Redirects, Geo Links, Geo Content, Geo Bars, or Geo Popups) and target a segment.
Tick "Enable traffic split (A/B test)" on the rule and set your split percentage. For example, 70% of visitors see Variant A and 30% see Variant B.
Assignment is based on the visitor's IP address and the redirect, link, content block, bar, or popup being tested — not the individual segment rule — so no cookies are needed. A visitor gets the same variant across every segment rule on that item, including on return visits, as long as their IP doesn't change.
Beyond a raw impression count, GeoSwap watches whether each exposed visitor bounced, how many pages they viewed, and how long they stayed — per variant. See Reading Results.
Here's how to set up a split in any supported product, step by step:
Open Geo Redirects, Geo Links, Geo Content, Geo Bars, or Geo Popups from your dashboard sidebar.
Start a new rule or open an existing one that you want to test.
Each rule pairs a segment with what that segment sees. The content or URL it already has becomes Variant A.
This opens the Variant B field where you can enter your alternative content or URL.
Add the alternative content (HTML or URL, depending on the product) that you want to test against the original.
Drag the Traffic Split slider. Either variant can get anywhere from 1% to 99% of traffic, and the rest goes to the other. Start with 50/50 for the fastest results.
Traffic splitting starts as soon as you save. No deployment needed.
What Variant A and Variant B mean for each of the five products, with worked examples.
Content, bars, and popups track outcomes automatically. Links and redirects send visitors to a different URL — here's how GeoSwap follows them there.
What the impressions chip and the experiment results table actually mean, and when GeoSwap is confident enough to call a winner.
