Licensing restrictions. Sanctions compliance. Regional content rights. Whatever the reason — GeoBlock lets you restrict page access by country with three clean modes: show a message, display a modal, or redirect away. No ambiguity, no workarounds, no pageview limits.

TL;DR
GeoBlock restricts page access by country using three modes: inline message, popup modal, or redirect. It fires before all other GeoSwap products (Tier 1 priority) and requires explicit segment targeting — no accidental blocking. No A/B testing by design. Free with no limits. Geo Targetly charges $29–349/mo for equivalent functionality.

Works with any platform
Message mode replaces page content with inline HTML. Popup mode shows a modal overlay. Redirect mode navigates the visitor to a different URL entirely. Pick the mode that fits your compliance requirement.
GeoBlock is evaluated before any other GeoSwap product. When a block rule matches, nothing else fires — no bars, no popups, no content swaps. The page is locked. This is intentional: blocking is absolute.
Unlike GeoBar or GeoPopup, GeoBlock requires you to target specific segments. There's no "block everyone by default" footgun. You must explicitly choose which countries to block. Deliberate design for a deliberate action.
You don't A/B test access control. Blocking is a compliance and legal decision, not a conversion experiment. Other products have A/B splits. GeoBlock doesn't, and that's the right call.
In message and popup modes, you write the HTML visitors see. Explain why access is restricted, link to an alternative, or provide contact information. Full control over the blocked experience.
GeoBlock fires first. If no block rule matches, your bars, popups, content swaps, and everything else work normally. Blocking and personalization coexist — one dashboard, clean separation.

“Compliance isn't a feature you ship once. It's a posture you maintain.”
Add the GeoSwap script tag to your site — same script as all GeoSwap products
Create a block rule in the dashboard: select the countries to block and choose a mode (message, popup, or redirect)
Write your block message HTML or set the redirect URL — tell visitors why and what to do next
Visitors from blocked countries see the block. Everyone else sees your normal page. Crawlers see your canonical content.

The GeoBlock dashboard
Block access from OFAC-sanctioned countries (Cuba, Iran, North Korea, Syria, etc.) with a clear compliance message. Automatic, auditable, and always enforced — no manual IP list management.
Your video content is licensed for the US and Canada only? Block all other countries with a message explaining regional availability. Streaming platforms, media companies, and publishers use this daily.
Selling a product that can't ship to certain countries? Block those countries from the product page with a redirect to your international alternatives page. No confused checkout attempts.
Financial products often can't be offered in certain jurisdictions. Block access from non-licensed countries with a regulatory disclosure. Clean, defensible, automatic.
